About me

Aaron Chuang

Three years ago I was just a young, juvenile, and innocent kid who just received the news of passing the entrance exam to EGRC. In my first EGRC class, everything seemed unfamiliar and challenging to me because the content of the course and the way Joy taught were different from the classes I’d had in my homeroom. I remembered I was literally like a blind guy running on the way full of walls in the beginning of my EGRC journey. Sometimes I bumped into several, and sometimes I crashed into a lot. Trial and error was which getting me closer and closer to perfections and making me a true EGRC student.

Remember that during the last summer to the 9th grade, everybody stayed after the summer school to produce props and to practice both dancing and acting. What touched me the most was that not only did some parents help us with the props but also delivered snacks for us in their spare time. With all the efforts we made, a sweetest-ever fruit ripened on the day we presented the show to the audience.

When it came to 8th grade, every EGRC student was busy producing speech scripts and delivering speeches on the stage the next day after we finished writing them. We devoted our time and heart into making our performances better than the last ones, and thus our English ability improves along the way. Some classmates were so nervous that they cried on the stage; some dynamically owned the stage. I still can’t forget the times when Oliver, Sylvia, and I crammed together and prepared ourselves in front of a small mirror next to the EGRC classroom. Later on after the “speech attack”, we finally began to prepare for the last showdown of EGRC-the graduation performance.

Thank you, Joy and Steven. I will not forget those days we enjoyed together and those memories we created after leaving TYJHS. Though I’m not there anymore, my passion toward English will keep going and carry me to the place I am looking for!

I became a lover of playing guitar on the ground that I was in need of measures to help me catch a gasp of breath among those overwhelming school tasks. Notwithstanding that self-learning the guitar music theory wasn’t such a simple challenge to complete, I still overcame and could play 40 or more songs eventually. The melody from the vibration of the strings plus my singing indeed provided great relief during times of despair. In these three years, I’ve taken part in plenty of contests, such as dubbing, spelling bee, and speech delivering. Given that English is simultaneously my favorite and most useful utility in the future, I took the TOEIC test as the certificate of my language ability. What is more, I’ve been putting my hands to photography for three years, hoping one day my works of art which were posted on websites holding contests are able to be recognized by people around the globe.

All these progressions made are for the preparation before stepping into the so-called world of adults, namely the kind of world people only accept success and profits. Therefore, in the near future, which is the time I’ll stay in NTOU, obtaining an expertise of my major in cultural design will be the first and the most important mission to accomplish, thus the life path after graduating from college could be paved farther. I’m scheming to dedicate myself into being a cultural film producer. In that case, not merely my ability of photography can come in handy, but I’m also advantageous in designing cultural-representative elements and merchandise dropped on the promotion. When my films turn into a sensation, my family will be proud and my wonderful dream will be fulfilled.

Tracing back to 19 years ago, in a stormy, inclement afternoon, Mom gave birth to an innocent infant and granted him the name with a pair of “A”s in it–Aaron, which carries the hope of distinction and excellence in the future. I have been residing in Taoyuan City, Taiwan with my parents together and now transitioning from the fading language-gifted class life in Yung Ming Senior High School to the fresh 4-year college life in NTOU(National Taiwan Ocean University).

A myriad of the kids inherit their personalities by the influences of their families, yet mine were formed under meticulous care and practical abilities my mentor, Mama Kerri, had equipped me in childhood. She educated and developed me until I became a boy with mastery in second language. Not only did she curb my arrogance but additionally cultivated the skill to socialize with people of different ages. I carry her words for me in the last lesson that goes, “Don’t chicken out when problems appear, Aaron. Face them and you’ll grow and prevail” with me all the way until now, cheering myself up so long as there’s a barrier in front of my way.
